Miami Neuroscience Institute offers innovative and compassionate treatment for neurological conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nervous system. The Institute embraces a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, from non-surgical treatments and minimally invasive procedures to complex brain and spine surgery. Located on the campus of Baptist Hospital of Miami, the Institute's inpatient unit consists of 48 beds, 12 of which are dedicated to caring for acute neuro-progressive care patients. The Institute's team of experienced specialists and clinicians collaborate to treat patients across all other Baptist Health facilities.
Miami Neuroscience Institute is a Joint Commission Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center – the highest level of specialized stroke care. The Institute's Epilepsy Program ranks as a level 4 epilepsy center – the highest level possible – accredited by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers. Additionally, the Intraoperative Monitoring Department received top-tier accreditation from the Neurophysiological Intraoperative Monitoring Laboratory Accreditation Board (LAB-NIOM) of ABRET – the first in Florida, one of 27 in the U.S.and one of only 30 in the world to achieve this accreditation.
Miami Neuroscience Institute will expand its services internationally serving as a stroke program consultant for a hospital in Panama.
